My FAVE Vintage shops in Palm Springs!

Updated: May 4, 2021

I run off to Palm Springs every chance I get! I don't know exactly when my love affair with PS began, but what I do know is that i'm head over heels in love! It may have a little something to do with the fact that, Palm Springs has the highest concentration of Mid-Century Modern architecture and design. That design aesthetic has my whole heart!

Since the 1920's, several visionary modernist architects flocked to the city and created an oasis of modernism design, which they appropriately named 'Desert Modernism'. They used glass, angled roof lines, peak-a-boo block, clean lines, pops of color and made the concept of indoor/outdoor living a lifestyle! They took desert living and made it chic and elegant... It soon became 'Hollywood's Playground', where celebrities would go to escape the bustle of the city.

Today it still remains a dazzling travel destination, complete with dozens of delicious restaurants, chic hotels, museums, conventions like Modernism Week (blog post to come soon) and of course shopping of the new and old! Vintage shopping has always been something I've loved to do. Im the girl that wakes up at the crack of dawn to hit a good estate sale or hit the monthly Rose Bowl Flea market (if you haven't been to it, trust me, GO! Its amazing!) So, when I realized that PS had a plethora of vintage shops, it really brought my love for the city full circle!

Vintage Shop in Palm Springs
The shops at Thirteen Forty Five

Ok, lets get to it... what you're really here for... my FAVE vintage shops in Palm Springs!

#1 - The Shops At Thirteen Forty Five

This shop is like nothing I've ever experienced... Its a design collective of several different designers and vintage stores. Here you can find a little bit of everything; new handcrafted items, art work, clothes, vintage items, housewares, accessories, lotions and potions... I mean the list goes on and on! I should also add, that it is very clean and tidy, which as most of you know, is NOT the case with most vintage shops. This is usually my first stop in palm springs.

1345 N. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

#2 - Sunny Dunes Antique Mall

This is a large shop that has a little bit of everything; glass wares, furniture, accessories, clothing, toys, electronics. Much like the shops at thirteen forty five, they also have some independent vendors, but here it is ALL vintage. You have to do a little bit of digging, but worth the effort. I found an original mustard yellow rotary phone from 1983!

507 E. Sunny Dunes Road, Palm Springs

#3 - Aida's Place

This little gem is directly across the street from Sunny Dunes Antique Mall. I've found some of the coolest accessories there and the owner is almost always in a negotiating mood! Win, win! They have accessories, small furniture pieces, art, lamps, electronics, kitchen/glasswares, vases... I mean they have a little bit of everything! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed, trust me!

403 Industrial Pl. S. Palm Springs

#4 - Flow Modern

If vintage furniture is what you're hunting for, this place has you covered! Its a bit pricey, but well worth a visit seeing as they have true vintage furniture pieces, most in great condition!

768 N. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

#5 - Little Shop of Treasures Antiques

This shop I stumbled on by accident, looking for the Sunny Dunes Antique Mall. I was pleasantly surprised, they have so much stuff packed into that place! There are like 2 or 3 hidden rooms, its like a fun house in there, jam packed with antiques and well dare I say it, FUN! They have ALL the vintage glass ware, and I mean ALL OF IT! lol If you're looking for a vase, ash tray, platter, fancy drinking glasses... Whatever they have it!

616 E Sunny Dunes Rd Palm Springs

#6 - Palm Springs Art + Design Gallery

This is another great place to shop for furniture. They have some very unique pieces and most in great condition. Also, a bit pricey but well worth the visit.

383 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

#7 - The Palm Canyon Galleria

This is yet another collective of designers and shops offering you a little bit of everything; art, furniture, accessories, glasswares... you name it, they probably have it! Galerie #8 is definitely a fave and a must visit!

457 N. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs

Ok, thats my must visit list while in PS... But there are a ton more shops in PS and the surrounding area! If you're headed there, plan to stay the night so you can really get in some good shopping time! Now, if you do stay the night, get up as early as you can and head straight to Cheeky's for breakfast! You gotta get there early to avoid the long wait lines, up to 2-3hrs at times!!! Once seated you'll want to order the following; their coffee is delish, as are their mimosas and bloody Marys, their chilaquiles and frittata are world changing!

I wish you the best time, in one of the most magical cities!
